Financial Services Forum.

This special forum builds on the Chamber’s 2007 research report on the financial services industry in Greater Boston, and features prominent speakers from the region’s financial services community. Focus is placed on the strengths of the industry as well as competitiveness issues facing Greater Boston’s numerous financial services companies.

Former Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers closed out the 2008 Financial Services Forum series in October. In order for the United States to achieve long-term prosperity, Summers called for fundamental change not only in economic policy, but in health care, energy policy, and income inequality, as well.  He predicted that the financial system could begin to bounce back in about six months and rebound in late 2009.
