The Greater Boston Chamber is committed to driving economic growth, creating new opportunities for members, and building a more inclusive community. A critical component of this commitment is ensuring a bright future for Greater Boston by identifying the leaders of tomorrow – Boston’s Future Leaders – and enriching their professional experience as they advance to executive positions.

Launched in 2004, Boston’s Future Leaders identifies the leaders of tomorrow and engages them in the business and civic life of our community by providing a platform for professional development and significant opportunities for growth and exposure. This program offers numerous opportunities, including leadership development programs at Harvard Business School and Suffolk University Sawyer Business School, that aim to give each participant the tools they need to be effective leaders.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Enhanced personal leadership and professional skills

  • A lasting network of professional peers

  • Connections with prominent executives in the business and civic communities

  • Opportunities to become more informed about public policy issues that impact local businesses

  • An increased ability to add value to their organizations and to the Greater Boston employer community as they advance to executive positions

Eligibility & Nomination Process:

  • Participants must hold a mid-level management position, be currently employed by a Chamber member organization, and be identified as having high-potential for an executive-level role.

  • Nomination forms are distributed to Chamber members each fall, with a new program launching in February of each calendar year.

  • The cost for the program is $2,500. This one-time fee includes all program costs.

After completing the one-year program, Boston’s Future Leaders alumni are invited to remain connected with the Chamber and each other through unique programs and receptions.
